He Found Me: New Book by Kate Leibfried

I have a new book alert, and it looks amazing:

'On a tiny island off of Panama, a stray dog approached a young woman, took a cracker from her hand, and skittered away into the night. The dog had never known the comfort of a person’s hand stroking his fur. He didn’t realize that other dogs ate regular meals out of their very own bowls.

The moment he took the cracker, the world began to change for both the dog and the young woman. They started building a friendship strong enough to withstand thousands of miles, months of absence, and even a looming threat on the dog’s life.

He Found Me is the incredible true story about the unbreakable bonds of friendship, steadfast trust, and having the courage to take life’s “crackers” when they’re offered to us.'

I mean, just look at one of the illustrations in this book:

Did I mention there's a real dog? Here he is with the writer:

And let's not forget that 50% of the profits go to the Animal Welfare Institute.
