I didn't even know they made them, but it looks fabulous. I composted in Portland because they ALSO have a system where you pay through the nose if you throw away much, but ours was an unruly pile and my husband flat out refused.Hart Johnsonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17599570189253229318noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1650569269425389350.post-84729611745195326362013-08-30T14:10:39.162-04:002013-08-30T14:10:39.162-04:00Hey – Just to let you know, I nominated you in the...Hey – Just to let you know, I nominated you in the Liebster Awards!
Pam Young, http://skatingthru2012.com/2013/08/30/liebster-award/
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1650569269425389350.post-22834068715158330052013-08-12T13:11:03.893-04:002013-08-12T13:11:03.893-04:00Hurray, fellow composters! Here in New Jersey we have a compost site, but we're not forced to do it. Basically people come and dump their leaves.

Once I got used to the process, I realized I would never turn back. And I've even seen them in apartments, although that's a bit more finicky, of course.

I do want to add that the person who talked me into composting again is my wonderful friend. She is a staunch conservative and one of the biggest clean freaks I know, so if SHE can do it - there's no excuse. :)Alison DeLucahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06979026382091362305noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1650569269425389350.post-8238089585786385602013-08-12T12:12:29.604-04:002013-08-12T12:12:29.604-04:00Did you know that in Portland it is required to co...Did you know that in Portland it is required to compost? We have a special bin for food scraps and everything compostable and they pick it up once a week...so not exactly the same as the tumbler, but still icky composting.Johanna Garthhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15515478890074610814noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1650569269425389350.post-4512068751191746582013-08-12T12:11:03.065-04:002013-08-12T12:11:03.065-04:00We have a tumbler composter. Plus we have solar panels that help generate electricity. His compost heap produced some of the finest, richest soil in the area.

In the early 1960's Dad tried gardening using modern methods and chemicals but all his efforts couldn't produce what his own father's simple, traditional garden did, so he returned to the old ways.Connie J Jaspersonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07455899967916707544noreply@blogger.com
